About This Site

This site is a music community web application created by Dan Garland. It is built in mind for a larger community that is coming soon from Vibey Subscriptions Ltd. Watch this space!

On here you will find a music blog containing:

• Song-snippets of music I am working on
• Artist, gigs and websites news and reviews
• New artists that I've only recently heard of that you might like
• Some of my favourite indie artists that I reccommmend
• Some cool music website links
• Full tracks of raw music I am currently working on that you can download

You can register to join for free, which enables you to interact with me via this website using comments and ratings. You can optionally join a mailing list that I will occasionally send information to about new music I hear about. Please join up if you like what you read, what you hear, have any music to suggest or if you would like to work with me.

The software, written in Ruby on Rails, provides blogging, track/video uploading, encoding and publishing, user-management, subscriptions, rss/feeds, event listing and resource tracking. It is aimed at bands and small web-communities looking to express their creativity on the web. It is created using open-source tools and is completely independent of corporate software.
