We're playing our first ever gig tonight at the Bridge House 2 in Canning Town, London. In true rock and roll fashion, we've replaced the entire rhythm section a couple of weeks before the show.

Normally at this time of year, I am lethargic and depressed; a hangover from New Year that isn't entirely of the alcoholic kind, but this year I'm feeling suprisingly refreshed and optimistic, as though someone has spiked my peppermint tea. Some months ago, when I first met Stuart Knowles, he assured me he wasn't at all image conscious, that his new Hercules Rockafella outfit would defy convention and dodge the limelight.
