Our first demo 'Perfect Storm' was featured on the Ravenous Raven song writing community website yesterday as the 'Song for Comment'.

Over the last few days, the Ghostship Lanterns began recording a two-song E.P. with veteran producer Glen Skinner. We've been so busy in fact, that the website has been sadly neglected... but we'll be posting studio pics, vids and blogs over the coming days, ahead of the increasingly massive tracks of the E.P.
The two songs we are focussing on are Chris Underwood's career-best (so far!) 'Hey Buzz' and 'There is a Star', both sharing a star-gazing, invoking wonder at the heavens (Space features prominently in the Ghostship Lanterns).

A belated account of the Ghostship Lanterns outing to the Rhythm Factory on the 23rd December here follows.
Although refreshed from a recent trip to a Carribean island, I had succumbed to the nasty grip of flu in the run-up to xmas, which presented me the ideal excuse to cancel the Ghostship Lanterns show on the eve of Christmas eve. Probably the combination of exhaustion from travel, being couped-up for 8 hours in a metal box, no sleep, lots of booze and a switch from 28 degrees to zero degrees. I have just got back from the second voyage of the Ghostship Lanterns, which sailed through the Water Rats this evening. Under freezing conditions, on a tube-struck Sunday night, the turnout was better than expected. We were in the unenviable last slot on the bill; normally reserved for headline acts, but at the grassroots level, invariably means the smallest, most saturated audience. Nonetheless, we were destined for the last spot, and with a bit of humble begging, the stragglers in the pub area were persuaded to bolster the numbers.
