After months of chipping away, the new website is finally here! And everything is broken!

So what's new? Well for one thing none of the images work anymore . And the design is a stylish white-label that was stolen from me by Spotify. Behind the scenes, the site has a raft of re-organisations, which are supposed to make it easier for me to update it. However, it will take a while for things to get sorted out around here, it seems.

The main things are that I've applied some ultra-geek stuff to the back-end to ensure that things work (70% coverage!), re-written the content model, changed the background processing to something more stable and generally spent a bloody long time on it.

More importantly (even I realise this), there is some new content to go up! Horray! Not another 'I've been busy' blog... shortly we'll see some nice new demos by yours truly, some works in progress, whiry whizzy noises and even some recent work I did on a rock-band's E.P.

Why now? I'm so sick of screwing round with this site now, I wish I'd been dropped on my head as a child, consequently ended up slightly less intelligent, and thus not even in a position to write my own content management system and used Facebook or Tumblr like everyone else. If you're an indie artist and thinking of making your own website, don't. Do the cool thing and write secret songs, don't play them to anybody and let them find your manuscript on your dead body to be gloriously released posthomously.

On the to-do list:

• Fix everything
• Get new content up
• Get rid of the javascript editor I'm using on the blogs so that I can spellcheck
• Sort the music player out so that it rocks
• Sort the homepage out
• Get a design for the homepage
• Add a SoundCloud drop-box
• Add a Twitter integration
• Add a login with FaceBook option
• Add observers to send e-mails when things happen
• And much, much more!

Thing is in theory that from now on I'll be adding bits as I go along and make the site better. Up until now things had become a bit unbearable and everything was falling behind. I have lots of nice audio that I wanted to post up here but I never could... which tended to mean that I didn't always mix and finish things off.. but things are going to be different around here from now on... watch this space. Unless you're Google, in which case come back next week please.
