Here's an idea for a song, called Vanish.
Its about that feeling of wanting to disappear when things go wrong, about having to get out of a place you've been stuck in too long...
I'm into this idea that by somehow concentrating on natural perception we 'vanish' in ourselves and become a free-floating observer of nature. I think all too often we think that this world we live in is a real place and take it too seriously.
The masochist in me has put a guide vocal on it. I can't really sing, but that's why we're looking for a singer. If you think you can do better, get in touch...
It sounds tinny on the sample so grab a free download and listen to it on something other than laptop speakers.
As usual I'm just trying things out, so any comments or ratings are welcomed! If you can guess who the model in the photograph was, I might give you a prize.

Lyrics
Verse One
When life seems to go astray
I'd really like to vanish
Disappear without a trace
What's the point of being here?
There must be a reason
For this godforsaken place
I'd really like to go now
Verse Two
When I want to get away
I'd really like to vanish
Take-off into outer space
Would you notice if I go?
No I didn't think so
I can read it in your face
Chorus
I've been trying to tell you
For a long time
You've wandered far too long
On your own
Now you've started to Vanish
You're gone
Verse Three
I'm afraid I cannot stay
I'd really like to vanish
Disappear without a trace
When the answer makes me wish
I hadn't asked the question
You'll forgive me if I say
I'd really like to go now
