On Why Arn't You There?
Very good though; up-tempo maudlin is hard to pull off.
On Vanish
Will you be brave enough to sing without effects on your voice next time ;-)
Thanks for listening!
1) I think I can add AJAX to the links so that they change into ticks once they're clicked. BTW- does anyone ever choose OGG or Flac files? I'm seeing very few downloads in the logs for these formats...
2) The password-reset is an idea that isn't really necessary for this website, since I'm giving away these tracks for free. Its a prototype for a site in which I'd charge for a subscription, to prevent people coming from different IP addresses using the same account- say if a subscriber posts their username/password to a forum. It has the drawbacks you mentioned, but I reasoned that since users would only download at a maximum once a month it wouldn't be too much of a hassle. Do you think this will put people off? I can definitely make the change password link more noticeable.
3) Yes this would explain why I haven't had an amazing number of comments. I think that given the time I'd redesign a lot of this website, but I'm not an expert on layouts so I might have to find some web developers to help-out.
If anyone has any other observations about the usability of the site, please get in touch because I am very interested.
Currently running on G5 Safari 4.0.2.

1) It would be convenient if there was something obvious, which told me that I was downloading the track, so that I know that the click has been accepted. It was only when I looked at the downloads window in Safari, that I realised that I was downloading multiple copies that I knew the click had worked.
2) As I was using a computer different from the one that I had initially signed up on, I was forced to provide a new password before I could download. This is a pain, as the two computers are both on the same wifi connection. Having chosen a new password, it would be useful to see change password somewhere obvious, so that I can revert it, instead of having to also change it on the original computer when I wish to access this site.
3) The add comments windows are low down on the page, hence not initially visible. Would it make sense to have Leave Comment as a link in the menu at the top of all pages?
